1. Overview
Ironwood Dog Training (“Ironwood,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), located in Phoenix, Arizona, respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through www.ironwooddogtraining.com (the “Site”), how we use and share it, and the choices you have. By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Policy.
This Policy applies to information collected through the Site and through related communications (such as email, phone, or text messages exchanged with us as a result of your use of the Site). It does not cover information collected offline outside those communications, or information collected by any third-party site or service we do not control.
2. Information We Collect
Information You Provide to Us
We may collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when you:
- Submit a contact or inquiry form (for example, the “Tell us about your dog” form)
- Email, call, or text us
- Message us on social media (such as Instagram)
This information may include your name, email address, phone number, and information about your dog (such as breed, age, and behavior or training goals). If you communicate with us further, such as by booking a training program, we may collect additional information reasonably needed to provide that service, such as your address for in-home or board-and-train services.
Information Collected Automatically
When you visit the Site, certain information may be collected automatically, such as your IP address, browser type and version, device type, pages viewed, referring website, and the date and time of your visit (“Usage Data”). We collect this information through cookies and similar tracking technologies, and, where used, analytics tools such as Google Analytics (if applicable).
Information from Cookies and Similar Technologies
Cookies are small files placed on your device that help a website function and help us understand how the Site is used. We may use the following general categories of cookies:
- Necessary cookies — required for basic site functionality
- Analytics cookies — help us understand how visitors use the Site, such as through Google Analytics
- Preference cookies — remember choices you make on the Site
Most web browsers let you control cookies through their settings. If you disable cookies, some parts of the Site may not function as intended.
3. How We Use Your Information
We may use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your inquiries and provide information about our training programs
- Schedule, confirm, and manage training sessions or consultations you request
- Communicate with you by phone, email, or text about your inquiry, booking, or our services
- Improve and maintain the Site and understand how it is used
- Comply with applicable legal obligations
We do not use the information you submit for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects concerning you.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We also do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as that term is defined under applicable privacy laws. We may share information in the following situations:
- Service providers: with third parties who perform services on our behalf, such as website hosting, scheduling tools, email or text communication platforms, and analytics providers, solely to help us operate the Site and our business
- Legal reasons: if required to do so by law, or in the good-faith belief that disclosure is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect our rights or property, investigate wrongdoing, or protect the safety of any person
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, sale of business assets, financing, or acquisition, in which case we will provide notice before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy
- With your consent: for any other purpose disclosed to you at the time you provide the information
5. Text Message (SMS) Communications
If Ironwood offers SMS communications and you provide your mobile phone number and consent to receive text messages from us, we may use it to send you appointment reminders, follow-ups about your inquiry, or similar service-related messages. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency will vary based on your interactions with us. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any text message we send, or by contacting us directly. Providing a phone number is not a condition of using the Site or requesting information from us.
6. Payments (If Applicable)
If Ironwood accepts online payments or deposits through the Site (for example, through a third-party payment processor such as Square, Stripe, or PayPal), we do not store your full payment card details. That information is provided directly to our payment processor, whose use of your information is governed by its own privacy policy. We recommend reviewing that processor’s privacy policy for details on how it handles your payment information.
7. Embedded and Third-Party Content
The Site may include content or features hosted by third parties, such as Google Maps, Instagram feeds, or online scheduling widgets. These third parties may collect information about your interaction with their embedded content according to their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review. We do not control, and are not responsible for, the privacy practices of these third parties.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy — for example, to respond to your inquiry, provide training services you have booked, and comply with our legal, accounting, or recordkeeping obligations. When information is no longer needed for these purposes, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
9. Data Security
We take reasonable measures designed to protect your personal information from loss, misuse, or unauthorized access. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.
10. Children’s Privacy
The Site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information without a parent’s or guardian’s consent, please contact us so we can delete it.
11. Your Privacy Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, such as the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you, and the right to opt out of certain uses of your information. For example, California residents may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and residents of other states may have similar rights under their state’s privacy laws.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information in Section 14. We will respond to verifiable requests within the time required by applicable law. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising their privacy rights.
You may also opt out of marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the email, and out of text messages as described in Section 5.
12. Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. Because there is not yet a common industry standard for how to respond to DNT signals, the Site does not currently respond to them.
13. International Visitors
The Site is intended for visitors located in the United States, and Ironwood’s services are provided in the Phoenix, Arizona area. If you access the Site from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post any changes on this page and update the “Last updated” date above. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
